Looking For Ideas

We had an interesting talker at the club tonight. Adrian Lines, a photographer who has won many awards up and down the country. He spent much of the evening talking through his Photoshop techniques and methods used on a variety of composite images. It isn't an area I would normally venture and most of his images were not "real" photographs or photography as he freely admitted. But hats off to him as an "artist", because his visual imagination was quite amazing. His presentation (power point style graphics were awesome & often funny) and his deep, clear voice was a pleasure too. Nobody slept!
Another interesting twist in the second half was that he passed the prints around for a closer look, instead of the usual displaying each one in a light box and talking through them individually. The pass-the-print idea also allowed us to ask questions.

Plenty learnt tonight.
