Golden Hues

Just a hint of midmorning sunshine is sufficient to bring a fresh complexion to what so far has been a dismal November from a weather perspective.

It is as though the world has awoken the rain soaked and drenched countryside around here. The sunshine brought a glint to the unbeatable beauty that this time of year holds. Changing colours of the trees, and a never ending array of colour. A shame that the inevitable result of this is that the trees and hedgerows will shed their leaves. In this prelude to still darker days to come as winter approaches, the countryside just now is a mass of splendour like no other time of year.

Don't get me wrong. I always think that Spring is wonderful and is my favourite time of year as those very same woodlands, hedgerows and trees return to life, accompanied by blossom and daffodils which herald the start of fresh seasons for the year.

For the present however, take joy in the brown hues, golden shades and glorious colours which inject a special beauty into autumn.
