"Swan Lake"
Out for some last minute Autumn shots and somehow, rather than the intended New Forest, ended up walking up the floodplain of the River Test, north of Romsey. This was an area I'd never explored before - it looked enticing on the map and thinking of sunset, its 'geography' looked very suitable for such.
The combination of setting glowing sun (to the right) and gorgeous glowing trees reflected in the water, just made this pair of so lovely and angelic swans my Blip. Some combinations just are irrestistible, after all. And, oh, a pair of ducks too, for good measure.
Apparently, according to the map when geo-tagging, this is actually the Andover Canal (abandoned). I did wonder why it was actually so far from the actual river. So there you are!
I only had an hour in daylight as other necessary chores meant I couldn't leave Salisbury until 3pm, hence the 18 minute train trip to Romsey. A soggy (underfoot) walk up over to the Stockbridge Road and back into the market town and by the Abbey. Restorative gallon of black coffee and cookie in Café Nero and so I haven't actually been home long.
So nicely surprised to find my mono Woodland Walkers right up at #3 in the Spotlights - pretty darned good for a backdated Blip - huge thanks to all. I will get back to you all after bath/food/rest etc.
