Remnants

Monochrome challenge 1/5. I was challenged in Facebook by pitkis to show a monochrome photo on five days.

The subject here is the remnants of our milking machine (framed a bit tightly) including milk meters which left today. I have occasionally shot this kind of photos of the "still life" objects in the barn, inspired by the work of David Plowden whose book "Vanishing Point" I bought a few years ago, but I really can't say that I would have ever reached Plowden's subtle approach.

In this book review he's called "the best photographer you never heard of". Those words certainly caught my attention and the book impressed me very much. By the way, the word "remnant" was also included in that review.
