A Lorra Lorra Geese!

Following a tip-off we drove out over the Carse this afternoon but didn't see anything until the last moment when a huge skein of geese flew over in front of us. We watched them and realised that they had landed close to the road but over the rise of the field. We managed to park the car at a field gate and slipped through into the field. As soon as our heads showed over the rise those geese were up up and away. What a racket about a thousand geese can make! We snapped off a couple of shots and watched them fly off honking with irritation.
We now know those elusive geese have gone all sneaky on us and are picking fields which are difficult to see or to reach. The feathery beggars!
