Full throttle day

Head down in front of the computer all day. Wrote a story about autonomous cars, wrote a road test, finished a feature, forward booked cars in December and January for magazine twin tests, sent invoices for work already done, found a venue and made a reservation for a lunch event, organised some building work next month, dealt with some other urgent admin, responded to a long tail of incoming emails, took a break to make some bone broth chicken soup on our ancient Aga ..... phew! A satisfying day with lots done. Such is the life of a freelance motoring journalist, when not away travelling on work trips.

Late this afternoon, at caffeine o'clock (again!) I realised I needed a blip. With no time to spare for something more adventurous, I felt a magnetic pull to the beautiful sky over the back garden, outside the kitchen window. I only hope the weather is fine again tomorrow. There's a car photo shoot waiting to be done ...
