"Shark bite"

If you have plastic water lines in your house, which is fairly common now and you also have rats........which is not unknown.... it is advisable to have a couple of these connectors in case you end up with a rat that likes chewing plastic....not uncommon. Sure saved my bacon today, once I found the leak..... "Shark bite" is the trade name, just push them on to the pipe and you're done.
