One is Difference than the Others

I went to the lake near my house to see if the lake was still iced over and found that it was partially melted. I wanted to watch the ducks landing on the ice, but none flew in or out while I was there. There were several on the iced part of the lake (see Musings blip for today) I don't know how to give you the link...sorry.
I picked this photo of the ducks that swam right up to me because I didn't recognize the black and white duck in with all the Mallards. He seemed to think he was one of them, and it did seem that way to me too. Anyone know what this duck is? I couldn't find anything like it on the web.
Today was sunny and cool....but not too cold....after a night that dipped below freezing. The temperature is dropping fast again tonight.
I am back home tonight since the other grandma took over with the grandkids today. We had so much fun playing games yesterday, but it will be nice to back in my own bed tonight. Their parents will be back from Hawaii Wednesday. They are loving it there in the warm weather.
