Up to his armpits in snow! For Mono-Monday
More snow...
It's not that deep for us humans... but it sure hasn't quit coming down. Expecting 8-12 more inches tonight.
I had another visitor today... A big beautiful Cooper's Hawk. Fortunately, he didn't devour any of the little birds at the feeders. Mostly, thanks to the flock of bluejays that kept him at bay. While he sat on this branch 6 bluejays sat around him, moving about to distract this giant bird. So many people think of bluejays as pushy, when it comes to the little birds... but today, they were the little birds hero's, keeping them safe to live another day..
Blooper shot of the Cooper's rear-end... He has a bit of a rotund appearance from this view, eh? LOL
* edit Decided to join Mono-Monday (though I hadn't realized that a frame was needed this week... so I tweaked this a bit and combined my two favorite shots of the day.) :) Thanks to Skeena for hosting!
