The Picture Post Card Pub

So says the menu and true it is that many of the scenes
on the Town's earliest postcards are of what used to be
a sandy secluded corner of Scarborough 's North Bay
where years ago a waterwheel powered the old Scalby
Mills. The menus now stand like sails of yachts waiting
for the breeze of customers through the door. But these
are the doldrums between the last of the summer and
Christmas when visitors are scarce. A time when the
ghosts can make themselves heard. And they do - so
we are told !
