I hadn't seen him since we photographed the Earl of Pembroke's wedding back in 2011.

No reason, just life got in the way.

Today we had an opinionated jaunt around the Taylor Wessing at the NPG followed by a pot of Earl Grey. The tea was definitely the more interesting of the two.

If I could sum up the exhibition in one word it would be 'sparce'. We got the feeling there hadn't been that many entries this year. Lots of pictures of photographers friends and family as well as the ubiquitous Steve McQueen (this year someone enlarged his passport photograph).

I had forgotten what good company Rory is.
