Shame

First off thanks for all the kind words and start for yesterday. I hadn't realised that I'd hit a milestone until after I posted the blip!

Today's blip is silly and serious at the same time. A number of years ago a hole appeared where the road meets the parking spaces in the village centre. At least one person hurt them selves on it. The Parish Council (of which I'm a member) nagged and nagged the county council who own and maintain the road to fix it.

Eventually after an eternity they fixed it, but they did such a shoddy job that that the granite setts came out almost at once, and have for the past few months been stacked up against the Co-operative store. The new hole is even bigger than the one that pre-dated it and we worry that someone is going to get hurt.

The situation has now got so bad that the blocks now have a sign and are even marked for sale for a considerable sum, in the vain hope that this will shame Hampshire County Council into doing something before someone is seriously hurt or killed.
