Tough Mudder
backblip
Just under 2 months after completing our third powerwalking marathon in the space of 5 weeks, we subjected ourselves to more torture fun for charity by running the tough mudder. My ankle that I'd injured during the final marathon just about held up. This year it was held in Dalkeith so our lovely friend H came to watch and drove us home (after we'd wiped off all the mud). This was a shot of our team (just the three of us this year) just after the "electric eel" where you crawl through mud (and stones) underneath electric wires. We didn't realise until we were almost through that there was a fault with the wires. Didn't make it up Everest this year due to the ankle not allowing enough speed and after a nasty landing on my 4th try, I gave up. Much deserved orange headband at the finish line though!
