Quilt cover.

I am finally getting round to putting a neater hem on this quilt cover. It is a lovely cotton and very smooth to sew. I could have done the job on the sewing machine in half an hour, but it is so loud and is such a fuss to set up that I prefer to just get a needle and thread out. So what if it takes four times as long? That is four times as long listening to music and enjoying the feel of the cloth in my hands, rather than a quarter of the time hunched over a buzzing, whirring, vibrating machine.

I'm sure the neighbours prefer me hand sewing too.
