Does this ring a bell?

Well, this lad's been trying to ring a bell for a long time now........
In the olden days this village was a prominent trading post for cattle, amongst other things. This brought wealth to the village and this lad stands outside one of the old hotels facing the main square. He must have seen a lot of passing trade as well as a lot of people like me wanting to take his photo.
The cows in Switzerland still wear cow bells, although I hear that in Austria they no longer do to "protect" the tourists from the noise!
The wealthier villagers around here collect them and the bigger the bell the more prized the cow.
