'Home Comforts'............!

Yes...home comforts on a miserable Saturday night.....
A blazing fire (which didn't come out at all well in this pic, but it was the only one I took) and my knitting......this knitting is part of the secret KNIT.......a jumper for S it is....but the main part has to stay in the bag for now!!
We are getting thru' a dreadful weekend.....
poor B jnr. came from school yesterday and within a couple of hours was very ill....
I had quite a 'run-in' with our local 'out-of-hours' GP cover.......despite the clinicbeing situated in our own town ( we are the County town)!!
they refused point blank to send out a Doctor......muttering something about (and I kid you not)!! that Doctors On Call were only for terminably ill cancer patients and the very elderly..........
they insisted "I bring him up".........this despite the fact that he had serious vomiting & diahorea ..could have been contagious etc..etc..and too weak to get out of bed......
I was dumb founded.....I hung up....
He worsened over the next couple of hours......so then during a very irate phonecall where I got very upset.......and had to say that if my very fit healthy 21 year old Son died from something during the night they could look at a case of neglect and just not 'caring'.......
needless to say there was a Doctor at the door reasonably quickly....
sorted B out and thankfully after 24 hours he is now recovering a little....
Who do these people think they are.....?????
That people phone just for fun.......when something serious is wrong and the call-out is not cheap......!
Our current Useless Government has run our health-system into the ground..
and I have no doubt that people are 'dying' as a result.....
If you don't put up a very strong 'fight' you will not get even what you are entitled to.....
so...I think a letter of complaint to our Dept of Health may be needed...
So, I have very little energy at the moment......
I am trying to be positive and thankful for all my 'Blessings' of which I have many......but it takes a lot of 'strenght' and 'tears' to keep going.....
and such great support.....!
