Christmas Shoebox Appeal

One of the girls that works for our church received a Christmas Shoebox filled with presents when she was a little girl living in difficult times in Russia.

She was encouraging us to get involved as this project had such a huge impact on her life ... knowing that someone at the other side of the world had thought about her and sent her presents in a year where she would have received none.

Whilst this is something that we have done for many years, somehow, this year it seemed even more special to do it knowing a real person who had actually received one of these and hearing about the impact it had!

What was very special was seeing our Russian friend put in a shoebox herself and helping others where she herself had been helped.

CrocGirl and LittleSis had fun choosing gifts to put in the boxes for girls their ages! A lovely project to be part of ... the hardest part was finding shoeboxes with fully detachable lids ... a task that almost defeated us!!
