Women Hold up Half The Sky! Happy Int. Women's Da

In keeping with the request to blip one for International women's day I chose to have a co-worker pretend as those she was helping to hold up our half of the sky!! I've had a poster saying this forever on my walls and love it.

I'm including a couple parts of Maya Angelou's wonderful poem to celebrate this day.

"Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I rise.

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise.

Out of the huts of history's shame
I rise
Up from a past that's rooted in pain
I rise"

excerpts from Maya Angelou's Poem Still I Rise
