When we were growing up, Dad had a VW Beetle, it took us on many family holidays and rarely let us down. Then, Mum learnt to drive it and a little later I also learnt to drive it. I can still remember driving it around the block to watch the mileage go from 99999 back to 00000! Shortly before it was sold I took a series of pictures and we had them made into place mats for Mim and Dad. This picture is one of those place mats, the familiar dashboard, as you can see by this time another 13,943 miles had been done!
