We were supposed to go camping with friends but the weather looked threatening, so we did the next best thing... using Hotwire.com, we booked a 4.5 star hotel right in the heart of the Gaslamp District in San Diego. We have stayed there before and loved it.

Scott and I packed up tons of homework and reading and our most comfy jammies and stayed in our room all afternoon. We both got so much done and had a great time too. Once we decided to break for dinner, we walked down to an Irish pub and had a traditional dinner of shepherd's pie and beef sandwiches.

I love mixing work with play and San Diego is always a great place to do it.
