Sunday Seasons

This is my contribution to Sunday Seasons.

I love this plant. It's a red-barked dogwood or cornus which is covered in green leaves throughout the summer and flowers in late summer but, when the leaves fall and the flowers die off in autumn, the red stems are revealed along with the white berries. Even on a damp grey day such as today it almost seems to glow in the corner of the garden.
