When life throws you scraps, make a quilt.

Today was just long. Too boring to mention, even to me, although hearing Michael on BBC Shropshire radio and then having the photographer that I arranged take a smashing photo for the Creative Apprenticeship was a major positive today. Oh, and having the PTFA meeting cancelled was also really good. Actually, come to think of it - I had a pretty good day! It was just long, but can't complain about that really - that's just me being a wimp.
A highlight of the day was coming home to a new mattress. There is NOTHING that beats a good sleep (so they say, I really wouldn't know ... but I will now!).
However, the major highlight of the day was seeing the Rainbow quilt tonight. Since I took over the Rainbows four years ago, we started a quilt that every Rainbow has created a panel for. This is one of those projects that I had love seeing updates for and it really brings the Rainbows (and even those that moved up to Brownies) together. They love looking at the panel they made when they started reflecting back to how things have changed in their own life. Each panel tells a story and provokes thoughts to what was important then verses now. It really was amazing to hear the impact the Rainbows have on some of their lives.
Meanwhile, I'm liking this quote:
Be careful what you wear to bed at night, you never know who you'll meet in your dreams.
I hope for their sake, they have a sense of humor...
