Driving to M'hamid

Picked up by Rachid at 8am, who is our guide and driver for the next 4 days. We left Marrakech towards Tizi n'Tichka pass and crossing the High Atlas mountains, with lots of berber villages along the route. Visiting then the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah (being an UNESCO world heritage) and continuing along the Draa valley with its thousands of palms.

In almost all larger villages we had to pass a police control station, which in fact for us was just a quick eye control. The two police men before M'hamid were friends of our driver (as his family is from there), allowing a small chat. When saying goodbye we were even told 'amusez vous bien' - the first time I have heard something similar from a policeman.
