25 years ago....

25 years ago a group of Timaru people-several doctors including a GP, a surgeon,a pathologist ,a radiologist, a lawyer, an accountant and radiographer( me) convinced primarily the local Rotary group and secondly the local public of the area that a dedicated Mammography unit was needed in Timaru......Long story short- we raised $250,000 in 6 months and the unit opened. Today we had a lunch celebrating everyone's efforts. Some of these people I haven't seen for 25 years....As you can imagine the noise level over lunch was incredible.
