Time to stop and smell the roses

Today was one of those days without appointments and pressure. It was wonderful to be able to slow right down and enjoy the peonies I bought on Thursday. They are all puffed up and open in the heat of the day, and their colours and petals are glorious especially through the macro lens. I've taken heaps of photos of them, they kept catching my eye throughout the day in different lights. This is one of my favourites.
