Portland

Spent the morning wandering around northwest 21st and 23rd looking at thrift shops and buying wool jumpers to fit in with the locals.

We paused for lunch on sw10th and Washington trying out some Georgian cuisine from a food truck.

We walked down to Powell's books after lunch, it has over 1million books and the shop covers the whole block! They had maps of the bookshop to give out for free it was so big!

We walked along the waterfront park and stopped off for doughnuts at Voodoo doughnuts. It had the largest selection of doughnuts I've ever seen (sorry Tim Horton's) we washed them down with some coffee and wandered back yo the hostel walking through the old Town and pearl district stopping at various parks and shops along the way.

We went out for dinner at Dick's kitchen, a cute restaurant we had seen that morning on 21st. I had a Dork burger (duck and pork!) with some yam not fries with some mulled cider to wash it all down.
