What a magnificent sight....
A trip to Salisbury is not complete unless a visit to the cathedral is included. It is an Early English Gothic building dating back to the 1200s. It has the largest cloisters in England which are built around a quadrangle in which are two grand yew trees. Many people over the years must have marveled at such a stunning sights. Artists such as Constable painted a much more rural scene which included the water meadows as well as the picturesque cathedral. Many people were taking photographs of the exterior of the cathedral but this particular view of the cloisters caught my eye - something different!
