It's a Geeks Life

Black & White

We did a great RPS workshop with Delamanda today, Street Photography and we were asked to follow some concepts used by Harry Weber an Austrian Tog who uses as DSLR which is not the usual tool for the job.

The 1st project was to get 4 images based on a body part and the brief was to marginalise that body part and also it should be a similar size in all of the images.

We also did some work around why an image works looking at pattern, repetition and other elements.

I felt a bit at sea as I don't usually do series, rarely do projects deliberately and I was sporting a 35mm lens! I also did not take many shots and came away thinking I had nothing, not even a blip.

The reality is it made me focus, slow down and talk to people, somethings I never do.

I have 4 nice hand images and this is my joint top fave. I like the repetition in the two arm poses and the opposite colours of the gloved & non-gloved hand.

Time for Strictly!
