Ropeneck

This seal came ashore to pup in 2000 with fishing tackle wound tightly round her neck causing a deep wound. She was cut free and treated and has come ashore to pup every year since -apart from 2006. She comes to the same stretch of beach so is easy to spot and she is now a great favourite with the crowds that come to see the seals. I cannot find the bit of beach where I left my clothes when I go swimming so how the seals can return a year later to the same bit of beach is amazing.
How dare we call them dumb animals!
Seals have a pup every year but about 1 year in 10 they miss a year.
