Segue no mas

Wait no longer folks the epic adventure has arrived. Manana the road trip begins. I have masterminded it myself. Ingredients for an epic adventure:

Head North to Riobamba to sample llama genetics with Cesar, a visiting Peruvian genetist to trace ancient Inca heirloom breeds with Stu....think New York Times material folks...

Visit Chimborazo and then prepare to backpack in for three days in the wilderness of Sangay National Park to the great blown apart caldera of an ancient volcano deep in the Andes.

From there head North-east stopping over in the tourist town of Banos on the way to Puyo descending the Eastern cordillera into the Amazon basin.

Then follow the road south between the foothills of the Andes and lowlands stretching out East to the jungle town of Macas.

Loop back through the new and controversial Gaumote-Macas road cutting through the wilderness of Sangay National Park, from the Oriente to the Sierra and back again.

From Gaumote drive south all day and make it back to Cuenca in time for dinner.
