A Bird in the Hand

As I was on my way out for a photo walk, I spotted this little guy sitting on the sidewalk. He seemed very lethargic and I knew he would let me pick him up. He got right onto my finger and actually seemed happy to be in my hand. I moved him to a warm stone in the garden and put seed and water near him. I left for my walk worried about what I would find on my return. When I got home he was gone so I choose to believe he is somewhere doing just fine. :)
