Ceci n'est pas une tomate

It's a bloody pomegranate.

I've been looking for one to photograph for a while. I had an idea in my head of how I wanted it to look, since coming across gerrymcc's beautiful images of fruit, which look like paintings. But after much faffing about with iPad apps, I've realised that what I've ended up with looks more like a tomato than a pomegranate. I've been playing with it for long enough, so you'll just have to put all tomato thoughts from your mind and think only of pomegranates.

Tomorrow I'm off to Londontown for the weekend to paint it cherry red.
Or possibly just a pale shade of pink.
