Day 13 - Cross Cho La (5420m) - crampons

Head torches switched on we left Thagnak to head up to the treacherous Cho La pass (5420m). As we ascended the snow got deeper then icer. At the top we tacked on our rubber crampons for the downward journey which included a mini abseil. Our longest day so far of around 10 hours ended with an arrival at Dzongla (4843m) and a deep, deep sleep.
