setting sun

We had howling wind in the night and torrential rain most of the day. In the worst of the weather I looked out of the window and was surprised to see a blackbird, dunnock and robin feeding. By mid afternoon the sky was brightening and I had time to walk to the lake and back.

I saw a cormorant at Waterhead for the first time. It seemed happy resting on a hotel's jetty but was too far away for a good photo. The sun made a brief appearance just before I left. It seemed that I either got very dark clouds or a burnt out sun so I've opted for the former.

This is probably my last blip for a week .... I've booked a holiday cottage with no wifi.
