Poor Mr Rat

The perils of keeping cats... (Sorry it's not a pretty picture today.)

Mr Messi-cat came through the cat flap this afternoon, loudly announcing that he'd brought a gift. Mrs Rossi-cat was hot on his heels through the kitchen to see what he'd got.

At first glance, with it hanging out of his mouth, I honestly thought he'd managed to catch a squirrel! Oh no, it's a rat! It's huge! Thankfully (I think) it was dead on arrival in the dining room.

I hope this was a random rat catch as we hope Mr Messi-cat has not found out where the local rats hang out.
