The Soldiers

This morning we set off for The House for an Art Lover for coffee(of course) and to visit the new Heritage Centre for the exhibition of the work of Tom McKendrick. The exhibition, entitled Soldiers, shows paintings of soldiers who have been involved in conflicts throughout the world and gives an insight into their stories. A visit before the 22nd December will not disappoint.
The inscription on the glass wall at the entrance -
' The day has been perfect, bright sun & not a breath of wind so I had a good mornings work & the picture of the ROCK goes well.'
