Late Autumn...
After my awful day at work yesterday it was nice to finish early today, before lunch. Friday morning, the weather was bad, heavy rain and leaden skies. The Christmas Markets in Manchester had opened to some very unChristmassy but very Manchester weather. But by the time I got home the sun had come out and there were blue skies.
I needed to go into Chorlton to pick up something I was having made as a Christmas present. Driving there, the sun was low in the sky as happens at this time of year and it was in my eyes, making driving difficult.
After picking up my thing (can't elaborate as people read this who might be interested) I went for a wander in the Autumn sun. At one point I passed through little Beech Park on painfully, trendy Beech Road. The copper beech and cherries were hanging on to their gorgeously coloured leaves and the low sun was sending these long shadows across the park. I was quite pleased with how this picture came out.
