Sadly Didn't Make Me Johnny Marr

Early Blip today as I am on strike, like hundreds of thousands of other civil servants (see here).

Anyway, this is my oldest pedal, from 1983 I think. I'd been told that the secret to Johnny Marr's guitar sound was that he played through a Roland JC-120, and used the stereo chorus effect a lot. I couldn't afford a £600 amp so a £38 effect pedal would have to do. The Guyatone got good reviews and was £4 cheaper than the Boss CE2 which wasn't even a stereo pedal (note, I have never in the best part of 30 years used this connected to two amps). £4 was a night out in those days, so its been a constant ever since. Great sound, shame the speed slider broke (about 25 years ago, never got glued back on).

I always liked the little touches; it came with a glow in the dark 'CHOR' sticker, so in dark venues, you could tell what you were going to stomp. Manual was a classic Japanese to English translation. Are proof readers really that expensive?
