Unfurling the frond

The new dPS challenge for this week is 'Generations'. It can be young and old or new and used or any variation on this theme.

The closest I could get today without leaving home, was this fern slowly uncoiling into a completed frond.

It loosely fits the challenge, with the tightly coiled head opening out to release individual segments of the adult frond.
