Goldwater

We met a surveyor at The Homestead early and then my sister and I spent the morning doing paperwork. We have become ladies who lunch. I take delicacies and we eat at the dining table in the drawing room and thoroughly enjoy it. Such a shame that we have no happy memories of family meals at the house. :(

I went for a walk along the sea wall this afternoon. I took a pic of some geese grazing and thought of clarebeme. Nearly Blipped them as Tony Benn's house at Stansgate was in the background. Benns are in the news this week. His son has taken the peerage that he rejected.

I got what I thought was going to be my Blip. A fantastic shot of a pair of swans flying up Lawling Creek from the Blackwater. I was on shutter priority in poor light and sadly I had caught the wheel which had scrolled to 2000. Much too noisy a pic to post. :(

As I turned to return it started to rain. There was a lighter patch in the grey, suddenly and briefly the sun broke through. I thought of the young mentally disabled boy who drowned from the jetty when I was a child. Its remains are illuminated by the sun.
