November Theme Challenge: Thursday Thanks

This week my thanks go to the neighbours who have become friends. I am extremely fortunate to have moved into a road of very caring people. Three neighbour's have become good friends of mine, and others have offered their help at times.

A typical example would be a few years back. I had been in hospital for an operation, and was not allowed to drive. As it happens, I had prepared well for this and fully stocked my cupboards in advance. It snowed heavily during this time, making getting a car out of the road very difficult and somewhat treacherous. Several neighbours, who I'd only occasionally spoken to, knocked on my door to check I was ok, and the elderly gentleman who lived opposite, who has emphysema, knocked to see if I needed any shopping. I feel truly blessed to have such wonderfully caring people around me.
