Happy Reformation Day!

I have not done justice to our trip to Germany on blip, so today I will try to do some catching up. We spent Reformation Day in Wittenberg, Germany. It was really crowded, which surprised us. I guess we thought that we would be the only people who thought it would be cool to spend Reformation Day in Martin Luther's home town. We were very wrong! We didn't get to see everything we wanted to see as they are busy preparing for the 500 year anniversary in 2017, but we had a great day nonetheless. This is a photo of a song book with "A Mighty Fortress is our God" in it. It is one of Martin Luther's most famous hymns. We also saw one of the first of the printed Bibles that he translated into German.
