From a different perspective (2)

Around about this time last year we had scaffolding up around the house while builders found and fixed a leak. Adventurous as ever I went up the scaffolding for a different perspective. Today I was at the other end of the garden, standing on the shed roof while removing excessive amounts of vegetation that had grown up and over the shed and the adjacent greenhouse so took the opportunity to show the house from that perspective.

The morning had been wasted listening to a salesman trying to get us to sign on the dotted line there and then to buy a new porch at a price that was only available there and then. It was our own fault really, we'd been vaguely thinking about what to do about the porch and when someone called we decided to see what it might cost. Very interesting technique in that they gave a quote valid for 2 years but were able to give 50% discount if you bought there and then. Most of that discount, they claimed, was for having an advertising board on your property for 6 weeks. We live at the bottom of a short cul-de-sac, so I wonder how much passing traffic would have seen the board? His demeanor changed when he saw there was not going to be a sale.
