It's beginning to feel like autumn

Temperatures are dropping in the evening now and with all the red berries appearing on trees and bushes it feels much more autumnal this week.

It's still light in the morning but it's getting dark before 5pm. It will soon be time to put the heated rug down!

On the motionless branches of some trees, autumn berries hung like clusters of coral beads, as in those fabled orchards where the fruits were jewels . . .
