Shaggy Ink Cap
This is growing only 5 feet or so from the one I shot on the 10th. I think it is a Shaggy Ink Cap but it is still very young, there was no sign of it on Monday. I am more familiar with them when the cap is clear of the ground.
I got the shot while I was at the Lodge clearing leaves. I raked up 6 dustbin bags of leaves and I have only covered about a third of the garden! The annoying part is that of the deciduous shrubs/trees we have in the garden you would be lucky to get half a bucket from. The leaves which cause the problem are mainly beech with some scarlet Oak and the occasional Sweet Chestnut. Most come from trees on a communal land beside our lodge.
