Old pals

Farewell then old Brasher boots which, having served valiantly as walking boots, everyday shoes, scuffing around the garden boots, DIY boots, have finally become too flappy and leaky to be of any use. Still, they've been kicking around the porch for weeks, maybe months, now and I don't seem to have the heart to strip them of their useful laces and put them in the bin. So, they'll probably hang around a little longer. Maybe disappear when I'm not looking. Maybe I'll encourage the mutt to chew them. At least they'd be serving a purpose.

Otherwise a day working from home in the cold back office.
