At the Mate Winery

2008 Family trip to Italy. (Large)

When we were in Bellingham we met Ference Mate, the author of several books about Tuscany. He and his wife Candace bought property where they could make wine. They restored the house and started a winery. When we saw Ference in Bellingham, he said he'd welcome our visit when we were in Tuscany.

So here we are at the winery. Ference was not there but Candace treated us to a tour and samples and we took wine home with us.
