Treacle and spice and all things nice...

I started baking at 5.30- having had a busy day at work and a dog walk too. This is a bit of a cheats Christmas cake- all ingredients in a large saucepan, boil then tip into cases and bake. ( This was my grannie's war time recipe as it doesn't contain any eggs).

It's made in a loaf tin rather than a traditional round or square shape, that way you don't need as much icing or marzipan.
