Waiting!

I've spent today with my friend whose labour started yesterday evening. She mentioned that she has not taken one photo of her bump so ,thinking this would be the last chance, I got her to pose quickly for me.

Her contractions have been once every hour since 4pm yesterday and are showing no signs of speeding up so her husband decided to go to work instead of pacing around waiting. We spent today watching films together and chatting and even went for a walk to try and speed things up a bit.

I've come home to sort the kids out with some dinner and am hoping to get back to witness my first ever birth when baby decides to make an appearance.

As an adoptive mum I've not had any experience of this giving birth business so it's lovely to be asked to support my friend through the process.
