The Green Glow

In this photograph I tried to capture what up to now has been an un-functional relationship between man and his environment. To me this image represents man's domination of nature in a desperate desire for control. To take this image I found an old beer bottle discarded by the side of a road, I attached some wire to it in order to make it look visually tree-like. I placed the bottle on top of my camera bag and from a low perspective captured this image with the sun looking as if it was caught within the bottle. I feel the irony between the trees and the bottle, as well as the blockage of light, within this image conveys the control freak which is man.
